1st one after the rain

I, then, left the desk
And walked outside
To feel the sun shining
through the light green leaves of spring.
To feel the assuring breeze on my face.
To listen to the birds in the branch near me.
I left the desk defiantly,
Waiting for someone to say one more no,
To try to impose me someone else’s rules
And ways of living.
I opened my arms to feel the heat
And my eyes to see the sun
But I was blinded by the intense rays.
Maybe it is just too early.
I closed my eyes, back into my darkness.
Back at the desk,
I felt lost without the books and the papers to write.
Napping, however, was not an option. Yet.
